Biography: Adams is an American actress born overseas to a military family, who eventually settled in Colorado where she her career started with dinner theater as a teenager, she eventually landed bit parts in film.

Adams' first major film role was in Steven Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can" (2002), alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. She gained wider notice for her roles in the independent film "Junebug" (2005 ), and the Disney musical fantasy "Enchanted" (2007).

She has been nominated for 6 Academy Awards, and 7 Golden Globes, winning the Golden Globe for Best Actress twice - first for "American Hustle" (2013) and then the very next year for "Big Eyes" (2014).

More recently she has played central roles in Arrival (2016) and Vice (2018).
