Biography: Caitlyn Jenner is a media personality and retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete.
Jenner suffered a serious knee injury playing college football for the Graceland Yellowjackets and was convinced to try the decathlon to continue an athletic career. This culminated in winning the decathlon gold medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, setting a third successive world record.
This notoriety led to a career in television (notably reality series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" 2007-21), film, writing, auto racing, business and modelling, including "Playgirl".
Jenner publicly came out as a trans woman in April 2015, announcing her new name in July and has become a leading transgender rights activist.
