Biography: One of the great batsmen of Twenty20 cricket, Gayle plays for the West Indies, and has also played domestic cricket in his native Jamaica.

Particularly known for the clinical precision of his batting, Gayle has set several records: first player to hit a six off the first ball of a Test match, hitting the most sixes (515) in international cricket, first batsman in the world to get 10,000 runs in T20 cricket and the only player in the world to score a hundred in T20I, a double hundred in ODI and a triple hundred in Test Cricket.

Gayle has represented numerous clubs and leagues throughout his career. He announced his retirement from one-day internationals after the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
