Biography: Dion Fortune (1890-1946) was a British occultist and author whose output included several novels and many treatises on magical subjects. Among these were such colourful titles as Psychic Self-Defence and The Esoteric Philosophy of Love and Marriage.

She claimed to possess magical abilities of clairvoyance, clairaudience, astral travel and contact with perfected beings.

During World War Two she participated in the “Magical Battle of Britain” - in which a group of British occultists attempted to magically aid the war effort and prevent the landing of German troops on British soil, a goal in which they were apparently effective. (OnThisDay.com)
