Schiaparelli founded her Maison Schiaparelli in 1927 in Paris, starting with knitwear and it operated until 1954.

Schiaparelli was renown for her collaborations with famous artists such as Salvador Dali and Jean Cocteau and for her innovative use of new textiles.

The Schiaparelli Fashion house was revived in 2013 and showed its first collection for 60 years in January 2014.
