Why Famous: English actress Florence Pugh began acting as a teenager, first acting in the mystery drama "The Falling" (2014) with Maisie Williams.

Her career grew steadily and she appeared in both British and American productions on TV and in film. 2019 was her break-out year with parts in three major films; in the wrestling film "Fighting with My Family" alongside The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, the horror film Midsommar and in Greta Gerwig's adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel "Little Women". She was nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFFA for Best Supporting Actress for "Little Women".

At the 2019 Cannes Film festival she was awarded the Trophée Chopard prize for young actors.
