Biography: Fred Perry was a British tennis and table tennis player, best known for reaching number one and winning eight Grand Slam tournaments: Australian Open (1934), French Open (1935), Wimbledon (1934, 1935, 1936), US Open (1933, 1934, 1936).
He was the first player to achieve a "Career Grand Slam," which he won in 1935 at the age of 26 after winning all four singles titles. He also helped to lead Great Britain to a victory against France in the Davis Cup in 1933, which was the first their team had been successful in this since 1912.
