Rivera is best known for his work on the talk show The Geraldo Rivera Show, which aired on CNBC from 1987 to 1998. He has also hosted the programs Geraldo at Large and Rivera Live on Fox News Channel.

In addition to his work in television, Rivera is also an author. He has written several books, including The Geraldo Show: An Uncensored History of Television's Most Controversial Talk Show and Exposing Myself.
