Biography: John Brennan served as Director of the America's Central Intelligence Agency from 2013 to 2017 under President Barack Obama.

In 2008 after advising Obama during his campaign he withdrew from consideration for the position because of his prior support for the use of torture.

Brennan was a strong critic of President Donald Trump and led the investigation into Russia interference into the 2016 election. He left as head of the CIA on the election of Trump. In 2020 he published "Undaunted: My Fight Against America’s Enemies, at Home and Abroad" which also strongly criticized Trump.
