Biography: John Baldwin, stage name John Paul Jones, had a successful career as a session musician arranging and performing with such acts as the Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck and Dusty Springfield before joining The Yard Birds, later Led Zeppelin.

As part Led Zeppelin Jones was the group's bassist while also contributing as songwriter and arranger.The bands songs include "Stairway to Heaven", "Black Dog" and "Lemon Song".

Led Zeppelin broke up in 1980 but Jones continued with a successful solo career, working with other artists and releasing his debut album "Zooma" in 2000.

Jones is widely regarded as one of rock's most influential bassists and arrangers.
