Biography: Born into the famous Carter country music family June Carter started performing aged 10 with her mother and sisters as "Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters".

Carter went on to have a singing career both with her family, as a solo artist and later with her husband Johnny Cash. Carter was a successful songwriter and some of her best known songs include "Ring of Fire", one of her husband's biggest hits and "Wildwood Flower". After her Marriage to Cash, her third, Carter when on to perform and appear on both Cash's albums and TV show. She is the recipient of five Grammy awards, the final two posthumously for her album "Wildwood Flower" (2003).
