Biography: Leonard Cohen was an influential singer-songwriter whose career spanned 50 years. Cohen began as a poet before, frustrated at his lack of success became a professional musician.

Cohen's musical style was often haunting and evocative. This is evidenced in "Hallelujah" his most well known song, famously covered by Jeff Buckley. Such Cohen standards as "I'm Your Man", "Death of Ladies Man" and "Suzanne" were often covered by other musicians.
