Profession: Queen of Denmark
Biography: Margrethe has been the reigning Queen of Denmark since her ascension to the throne on 14 January 1972, upon the death of her father Frederick IX.
In this role she is also the supreme authority of the Church of Denmark and Commander-in-Chief of the Danish Defence.
