Biography: The American actor achieved his greatest success as the star of a number of successful TV shows including It Takes a Thief, Switch and Hart to Hart with Stephanie Powers.
He also had a long film career appearing such wide-ranging films as The Broken Lance (1951) with Spencer Tracey, The Pink Panther (1963), The Towering Inferno (1974) and from the 1990s in the Austin Powers film trilogy opposite Mike Myers.
Wagner is also known for his controversial relationship with actress Natalie Wood; the pair were twice married. In 1981 Wood drowned under mysterious circumstances off their yacht.
