Biography:A film and TV showrunner, writer, producer and director Shonda Rhimes is one of the most influential figures in American entertainment.
Rhimes is the head of the production company Shondaland and creator and showrunner of the TV medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" which debuted in 2005 starring Ellen Pompeo. Rhimes other major successes include "Scandal" with Kerry Washington and "How to Get Away with Murder" with Viola Davis.
In 2017 Rhimes was the first showrunner to sign an exclusive deal with streaming service Netflix for at least $150 million.
